Package: synaptic Version: 0.57.7.1 Severity: wishlist To make package manipulation even quicker, it would be useful to have an option which determines whether synaptic asks for confirmation when applying changes. The rationale for this request is to compete with Linspire's "1-Click" install system. So, the rationale is silly and to compete with a silly mostly marketing argument, but the feature itself could be useful anyway. I recommend not changing the current synaptic behavior by default. There may be other ways to address this. synaptic may only ask for confirmation when non trivial changes are to be done. For example synaptic could avoid asking confirmation when all changes have been requested directly. Another way would simply be to add a second "Apply changes" button, "Apply directly" or something.
