Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-CC: [email protected]

The src:golang package's binaries are now provided by
src:golang-defaults (coupled with src:golang-1.7), following the
workflow of gcc, java, etc. for supporting multiple versions, and thus
src:golang is ripe for archive removal. :)

(Sorry for not filing this RM request sooner -- had forgotten that we
needed to do so manually until #839364 was filed and Michael pointed
out the discrepancy.)

I ran a dry-run of "dak rm" on mirror and got the following, but I
think it's a false positive similar to the one seen in #835855 (given
that the version of the "golang" binary package in unstable/testing is
currently 2:1.7~1):

$ ssh mirror.ftp-master.debian.org dak rm -Rn golang
Will remove the following packages from unstable:

    golang | 2:1.6.1-2 | source, all
golang-doc | 2:1.6.1-2 | all

If I'm mistaken and there's something more I need to do, I'm happy to
oblige given a pointer in the right direction. :)

Thanks for all the work you do on behalf of the project!
