- it is the tuxpaint icon that is causing the problem: changing the icon to something else (even tuxpaint-config) solves the problem - adding it to the top panel (25 pixels high) causes the problem; adding it to a panel on the right is quite ok. The icon /usr/share/pximaps/tuxpint.png (or .xpm) is from tuxpaint 0.9.15b-1. whether I use the png or the xpm version doesn't seem to make a difference.
