Package: linux-image-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22 Version: 2.6.12-3 Severity: important Tags: experimental
I'm upgrading from sarge to etch and decided to give a try to the current 2.6 experimental kernel package (in hope that it'd fix the wd33 slowness issues), but the install breaks as follows: Setting up linux-image-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22 (2.6.12-3) ... Internal Error: Could not find image (/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22) dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22 (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2 dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of linux-image-2.6-r4k-ip22: linux-image-2.6-r4k-ip22 depends on linux-image-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22; however: Package linux-image-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22 is not configured yet. dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6-r4k-ip22 (--configure): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of linux-image-r4k-ip22: linux-image-r4k-ip22 depends on linux-image-2.6-r4k-ip22; however: Package linux-image-2.6-r4k-ip22 is not configured yet. dpkg: error processing linux-image-r4k-ip22 (--configure): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: linux-image-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22 linux-image-2.6-r4k-ip22 linux-image-r4k-ip22 E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) It should be looking for /boot/vmlinux-2.6.12-1-r4k-ip22 I suppose. It's also worth mentionning that the installation process displays the "do_initrd = Yes" warning message, which seems kinda irrelevant for this package.
