this doesn't look like a error in icedove or calendar-google-provider.
The installed gContactSync is making trouble I believe. The plugin is
lacking a valid manifest.

Which version you have installed? Probably 2.0.5-1?

Can you please make a gdb log so we can see what is really happen?
Please play around with enabled various extensions, we need to figure
out what part is causing the issues.

Unless I've decreased the severity to normal. See also the other reports
