Package: pptp-linux
Version: 1.8.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

wearing the hat of the pptpd maintainer I managed to crash pptp-linux
after some server-side changes. This might even be the reason for
several abort/crash reports in the Debian and Ubuntu bugtracker.

Since I wanted to investigate further, I tried to rebuild the client
with some additional hacks but found src:pptp-linux is, frankly
speaking, in a weird state.

Skipping the gory details I'm just asking you to make the patches in
debian/patches/ applyable, and preferably migrate to source format 3.0
(quilt). Also, I'd stronly suggest to enable all hardening build flags
as the code usually runs as root and deals with data from the net.

Thanks in advance,

    Christoph
