When using stepwise notation, there is no cron-error when a step-size is picked which is bigger than the max. value of the field. E.g. the following entry is valid: */500 */400 */31 */12 */300 MyCommand And will be interpreted as: * * * Jan * Actually I quess it does not make much sense to pick a step-size which is bigger than max/2 ... or is there any use-case ? Personally I would restrict it to max/2. Just let me know how you want to restrict it, and I will provide a patch!
