If you right click on a folder, then select "Properties" and then click on the icon to try to change it, you get a file browser dialog where you can't do anything. It looks like nautilus is frozen but in fact you can get out of it by pressing ESC. There's an upstream patch available: https://git.gnome.org/browse/nautilus/commit/?id=6df5972 It would be nice if this fix could be included in Debian.
