Package: openoffice.org-gnome Version: 2.0.0-5 Severity: normal I have just installed openoffice.org-gnome and after restarting OO it looked exactly same. I made a standard check in /usr/share/doc/openofficeorg-gnome/* for some documentation/READE, but there is nothing here.
So to start OO using this gnome/gtk frontend I have to start some xterm, do: ~$ export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome and then I could start oowrtier. I heard that If it started from gnome-menu it will automaticly use gnome/gtk frontend, but I'm using icewm. So maybe, a good solution for this would be creating some config file like /etc/openoffice/config with line: desktop=gnome As far as I remember previous versions of OO had such configuration file, and this option. Summary :-P : 1) Add file /usr/shre/doc/openoffice.org-gnome/README with some information about OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome 2) Create global config for configuring it (managed by debconf will be perfect). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: LANG=pl_PL, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL (charmap=ISO-8859-2) Versions of packages openoffice.org-gnome depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.3-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonobo2-0 2.10.1-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libc6 2.3.5-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.2-6 GCC support library ii libgconf2-4 2.12.1-7 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.5-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnomevfs2-0 2.12.2-3 The GNOME virtual file-system libr ii libgtk2.0-0 2.8.10-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii liborbit2 1:2.12.4-1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpango1.0-0 1.10.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libstdc++6 4.0.2-6 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libstlport4.6c2 4.6.2-3 STLport C++ class library ii libx11-6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-1 X Window System protocol client li ii openoffice.org-core 2.0.0-5 OpenOffice.org office suite archit openoffice.org-gnome recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
