Package: ftp.debian.org recite has been RC buggy for almost half a year (#800225). It had no maintainer upload since 2004 and two NMUs since then. It's dead upstream; last upstream release was in 1993. It requires OSS, which almost nobody uses on Linux these days. Alternatives exist: festival, espeak. Popcon is low: about 50 installations and falling.
Please remove recite from unstable. -- Jakub Wilk
