Package: wordpress Version: 3.6.1+dfsg-1~deb7u10 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Debian's version of wordpress includes support for gravatar. This means that every wordpress page contains the following tracking code.
Howdy, Denisa

Gravatar is a for profit service, who's ownly source of revenue is gathering and selling user data. I would be happy if there were a manual switch to turn gravatar support on, as well as an easier way of setting an avatar manually. Sorry that you probably get a lot of bugs like this that are kind of pendantic and annoying, but I believe that this is a case of actually nefarious code getting into Debian so I'm reporting it. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.11 APT prefers oldstable-updates APT policy: (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-042stab113.11 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages wordpress depends on: ii apache2-mpm-prefork [httpd] 2.2.22-13+deb7u6 ii libapache2-mod-php5 5.4.45-0+deb7u4 ii libjs-cropper 1.2.2-1 ii libphp-phpmailer 5.1-1.1 ii libphp-snoopy 2.0.0-1~deb7u1 ii lighttpd [httpd] 1.4.31-4+deb7u4 ii mysql-client 5.5.49-0+deb7u1 ii mysql-client-5.5 [mysql-client] 5.5.49-0+deb7u1 ii php5-gd 5.4.45-0+deb7u4 ii php5-mysql 5.4.45-0+deb7u4 ii tinymce 3.4.8+dfsg0-1 Versions of packages wordpress recommends: ii wordpress-l10n 3.6.1+dfsg-1~deb7u10 Versions of packages wordpress suggests: ii mysql-server 5.5.49-0+deb7u1 -- Configuration Files: /etc/wordpress/htaccess changed [not included] -- no debconf information
