Package: cups-pk-helper
Version: 0.2.5-2+b1
Severity: normal
hi there!
got a problem with the polkit-helper for cups: seems it doesn't respect my
groups setting correctly.
i got LDAP to manage accounts and groups, and use
/etc/security/groups.conf for
adding users to (local) lpadmin group, like this:
*;*;%ldapusers;Al0000-2400;audio,cdrom,users,floppy,dialout,lpadmin
then I added the following file in
/etc/polkit-1/localauthority/10-vendor.d/ as
suggested per #698504:
[Adding or changing system-wide CUPS settings]
Identity=unix-group:lpadmin;unix-group:sudo
Action=org.opensuse.cupspkhelper.mechanism.*
ResultAny=no
ResultInactive=no
ResultActive=yes
Now users should be able to manage cups through system-printer-config,
if they
are in ldapusers group, right?
Still polkit asks me for a root password (which is disabled on the
machines).
greetings and thanks,
- felix
