The specific use case requested initially here is addressed in torsocks 2.1 by the AllowOutboundLocalhost option… except that most likely UDP is needed in practice, so this will be fully fixed in 2.2.0~rc1 ⇒ adjusting the corresponding upstream bug report to match the ad-hoc solution that was implemented (https://bugs.torproject.org/16765), rather than the generic one that might never be.
