Package: light-locker Version: 1.7.0-3 Severity: normal Dear maintainer,
while debugging #819329 I noticed that it's quite difficult to use light-locker-command to query the state of light-locker from a different terminal. See below: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- randall@saito:~$ light-locker-command -q ** Message: Failed to get session bus: Cannot autolaunch D-Bus without X11 $DISPLAY randall@saito:~$ DISPLAY=":0.0" light-locker-command -q ** Message: Locker is not running! randall@saito:~$ ps auxw | grep light-l randall 6265 0.1 0.1 387012 18776 pts/0 Sl+ 17:20 0:00 light-locker --debug randall 6279 0.0 0.0 14240 2232 pts/3 S+ 17:21 0:00 grep --color light-l ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there is a way to use light-locker-command from a (non-X) tty, it would be great if that was documented somewhere.
