sounds weirrd. Sadly I was not able to reproduce this bug (having more
than 100 hosts in apt-dater it might be easily overlooked :-( ).

Did you something special to the affected hosts before (i.e. aborting
the connection, kill the (screen|tmux) session etc.)?
