Package: pdftk Version: 2.02-4 Severity: normal Dear maintainer,
no-break space ( ) in bookmark title is changed to euro sign (€) by 'update_info'. This bug is also found in the version of 2.02-2 (jessie, current stable) but not found in the version of 1.44-7 (wheezy, current oldstable). Bookmark information is extracted by 'dump_data' from source pdf [1] and the same information is written by 'update_info' into source pdf. This bug is reproducible by following steps. $ pdftk ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf dump_data output ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf.info $ pdftk ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf update_info ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf.info output ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf.update_info $ pdftk ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf.update_info dump_data output ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf.update_info.info $ diff ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf.info ./no-break-space-in-bookmark-title.pdf.update_info.info 14c14 < BookmarkTitle: no-break space in bookmark title --- > BookmarkTitle: no-break€space€in€bookmark€title Please find attached file also.
