Ahhh, no I see ... I searched for libpam-tmpfs (that i what you mentioned in the first email), and that was not installed, indeed. OTOH, libpam-tmpdir, yes, that is here. Interestingly it is marked in aptitude as auto-installed, but can be removed, and indeed, it came in as recommends from libpam-ssh. Well ok, I will cater for it in one way or the other (workaround or removing libpam-tmpdir).
