Hi, Here's what I see with a freshly launched copy of Terminator 0.97-4 on my jessie system:
dilinger 32148 0.3 1.4 636628 55928 pts/2 Sl+ 04:07 0:01 /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/terminator That's not as high as the original bug report, but 55M is still quite significant for a terminal. Compare that to a freshly launched mate-terminal: dilinger 32678 3.3 0.5 471120 23416 pts/8 Sl 04:20 0:00 mate-terminal Or xfce4-term: dilinger 968 3.6 0.5 403060 23136 ? Sl 04:22 0:00 xfce4-terminal So more than twice as much for terminator versus those other terms..
