Package: fontypython Version: 0.4.4-1.3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
Since a recent update, fonts are no longer previewed properly. The application shows a generic fallback font instead of the requested font, and the text in the preview area shows the error message "This text cannot be drawn. Hey, it happens..." I can't tell for sure whether this behavior was triggered by an update of the package itself or one of its dependencies. The terminal doesn't display any relevant warning or error message. Apart from that behavior, the application works (it installs and uninstalls groups of fonts sucessfully), but the inhability of previewing the font being managed renders the whole package almost useless, as there is no visual feedback of the fonts. This situation can be reproduced every time the application is used, and there is no workaround or option to bring back the correct behavior. I've checked this in a different computer and the problem persists. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.4.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_AR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages fontypython depends on: ii python 2.7.11-1 ii python-imaging 3.1.1-1 ii python-wxgtk3.0 3.0.2.0+dfsg-1+b1 fontypython recommends no packages. fontypython suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
