Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this issue, after upgrading an unstable system from 3.0-3 to 3.1.1- to errors does not occur. routino (3.0-3) added the Breaks/Replaces to fix the upgrade from 3.0-2 and earlier due to the move of the XML files to the routino-common package. I've added a version constraint to make sure the dependencies upgrade routino-common along with its dependent packages. It may have been that you had routino-common 3.0-3 still installed.
