===============================================================================

This has been a long standing problem for Debian and reflects a lack
of coordination between the package maintainers and a lack of ordering
of cron job priorities.

The simple way to get around this issue, which also affects the cron jobs
of affick, dlocate, htdig, mlocate, webalizer, because they should all run
after log rotation and any other manipulations of the file system and contents,
is to rename the cron jobs to put them at the very bottom of the directory
listing viz

        sarg
        ...
        webalizer
        ...
        zz_logrotate
        zz_webalizer
        zzz_dlocate
        zzz_mlocate
        zzzz_afick

Why Debian maintainers do not communicate with each other to implement
a very simple fix and/or no technical oversight coordination is applied
by the Debian management teams to these issues which have existed for

              10 YEARS OR MORE

and thus NEVER resolved is left to the imagination of the reader.
