I think this is one of the problems where once you figure out what the best solution is, it seems obvious, but it takes some time and discussion to actually get to it. And I think what we arrived at is far simpler and more elegant than what I had in mind initially when I described my use case. The only regret I have in this regard is that we didn't have a chance to hash this out at DebConf (not your fault, there was just too much going on there in general), otherwise we might have been able to get here quite a bit quicker. ;-) Regards, Christian
