would you mind enabling the ngx_http_slice_module. It is really useful in situations where caching big objects is required as it allows us to split the files in several slices as described in the nginx documentation. The option to pass to configure is the following one: --with-http_slice_module Further documentation concerning this module can be found here: http://nginx.org/en/docs/http/ngx_http_slice_module.html I guess both nginx-extras and nginx-full would benefit from this feature but leave the end decision to you as you know the policy better than I do.
