This is definitely a known problem with the Let's Encrypt package; unfortunately, the letsencrypt-renewer script as it stands is scheduled to be removed completely, as it hasn't worked for a couple of releases. The Debian maintainers are coordinating with the Let's Encrypt upstream team on working out a mechanism to automate renewal. Currently, they're aiming for having a solution in either the 0.4.0 release next week, or failing that, the 0.5.0 release in the next few weeks. If you are interested, take a look at the renewer tag on the upstream github for more details: https://github.com/letsencrypt/letsencrypt/labels/renewal Sincerely, -- Harlan Lieberman-Berg ~hlieberman
