How are you starting session? With display manager? lightdm, gdm? I see in log file gnome-flashback-init, gnome-flashback and gnome-panel is-disabled:1 - that could mean that XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP is not set correctly.... Show output from this command: echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
