Thanks for your report! I'm able to get the desired behavior when I select "The dock" from the "When maximizing do not cover" section of the "Window Handling Preferences" tab in WPrefs.app (or, equivalently, setting "NoWindowOverDock" to "YES" in ~/GNUstep/Defaults/WindowMaker). Is that not working? (Or maybe I'm misunderstanding?) Doug
