- According to upstream documentation libusb is faster.
- Personally, I've had trouble communicating with newer devices using the
kernel module. libusb worked with lss trouble.

It's less tested, probably.

There souldn't be any. Using libusb requires action from the user, even after
compiling it in. But, the user needs to disable the auto loading of the visor
kernel module. That could conceivably cause headaches.
