I just upgraded to dbus 0.60-4 and also get this error. The reason is that the hal package is configured after dbus. The dbus postinst restarts the hal layer with the new already unpacked hal binary, but with an old /etc/default/hal config which still has the - --drop-privileges option. Regards, Bastian - -- ,''`.
