Package: ifupdown
Version: 0.7.8
Severity: minor

Yes, this is an older version of ifupdown, but the newer package also
appears to lack this.

ifupdown lacks any method to change the metric of the route that is
added by default when an address and netmask are specified. If a system
has multiple interfaces to one network, one may wish to change the metric
for even a directly connected network.

I would also suggest it would be useful to be able to tell ifupdown not
to add the standard route just in case one is doing really whacky things.
