https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=emacs24&suite=sid dumping emacs on ppc64el and ppc64 fails with emacs: Program segment above .bss in /«BUILDDIR»/emacs24-24.5+1/debian/build-x/src/temacs which seems like it might be caused by some gcc/binutils issue instead of an actual bug in emacs. Sorry I can't be more helpful; I don't have access to any ppc machine, I only noticed this because the failure on ppc64el is blocking the migration of 24.5+1-5 to testing (which is why I think this should have severity level "serious").
