Just a quick update on a workaround on this, one can set PrtScr to this: scrot -q -z 'scrot_%Y%m%d_%H%M%S.png' --backup=simple --suffix=.scrot -e 'mv $f ~/Desktop' This will create another image suffixed with: .scrot making in obvious how it got created, in the case there were more than one screenshots taken at a given second.
