Yes, the daemon is listening on IPv4, IPv6 and unix sockets. However, I noticed that I had altered the configuration from the default; ReportPage was commented in /etc/apt-cacher-ng/acng.conf. I uncommented ReportPage, and now acngtool maint is working. Without ReportPage: # /usr/lib/apt-cacher-ng/acngtool maint -c /etc/apt-cacher-ng SocketPath=/var/run/apt-cacher-ng/socket --verbose # echo $? 255 With ReportPage (default): # /usr/lib/apt-cacher-ng/acngtool maint -c /etc/apt-cacher-ng SocketPath=/var/run/apt-cacher-ng/socket --verbose ..................................................................................
