Package: wvdial
Version: 1.54.0-1
Severity: normal

Recently wvdial stopped working with my bluetooth modem (Verizon v710
Cell). It took me a while to track down that the problem was wvdial--I
assumed it was in the kernel, bluez-utils, or cell phone, but when I
downgrade to wvdial 1.54.0-1, everything works again.

Wvdial reports:

--> Cannot open /dev/cell: Cannot get information for serial port.
--> Cannot open /dev/cell: Input/output error
--> Cannot open /dev/cell: Cannot get information for serial port.

And I see the message:

rfcomm_tty_ioctl: TIOCGSERIAL is not supported

Not sure how to isolate the problem more than this--I will try any
suggestions.
