Package: wvdial Version: 1.54.0-1 Severity: normal Recently wvdial stopped working with my bluetooth modem (Verizon v710 Cell). It took me a while to track down that the problem was wvdial--I assumed it was in the kernel, bluez-utils, or cell phone, but when I downgrade to wvdial 1.54.0-1, everything works again.
Wvdial reports: --> Cannot open /dev/cell: Cannot get information for serial port. --> Cannot open /dev/cell: Input/output error --> Cannot open /dev/cell: Cannot get information for serial port. And I see the message: rfcomm_tty_ioctl: TIOCGSERIAL is not supported Not sure how to isolate the problem more than this--I will try any suggestions. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-joehill Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages wvdial depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-7 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-7 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libwvstreams3-base 3.75.0-1 C++ network libraries for rapid ap ii ppp 2.4.2+20040428-2 Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) daem -- no debconf information -- Adam Rosi-Kessel http://adam.rosi-kessel.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
