Package: gzip
Version: 1.3.5-9
Severity: minor

hi

if I compress a file with 'gzip -n file'
the original timestamp and name are not recorded

still if I use 'gzip -v -l file.gz'
gzip will happily list a timestamp and a original filename
(deduced from the current name and from the current timestamp)

so it is impossible to know if 'gzip -n file' or
 'gzip file' was used
