No need to NMU, just add yourself to Uploaders or (if you are not really interested in Avogadro), commit in subversion with "[Anton Gladky]" before your changes and leave "Debichem Team <[email protected]>" in the attribution line of debian/changelog, then it should not be detected as an NMU I think.
