Package: check Followup-For: Bug #748464 Control: close -1 Hi Uwe,
when providing a fix for #799991 I remembered that I saw this report to when I updated the package at DebConf15 and it is related: Short story: No, lpthread would be wrong. Longer story: The autoconf macro acx_pthread will take care to dertermine the required linker and compiler flags and you are supposed to provide both to the linker. The autoconf macro says this too: # NOTE: You are assumed to not only compile your program with these flags, # but also link it with them as well. e.g. you should link with # $PTHREAD_CC $CFLAGS $PTHREAD_CFLAGS $LDFLAGS ... $PTHREAD_LIBS $LIBS Background information can be found here: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/autoconf-archive-maintainers/2013-06/msg00021.html Closing. -- tobi -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages check depends on: ii dpkg 1.18.2 ii install-info 6.0.0.dfsg.1-3 ii libsubunit-dev 0.0.18-4 ii mawk 1.3.3-17 check recommends no packages. check suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
