I've exactly the same problem as described in bug #343286. Maybe the two
bugs should be merged...

Confirmed on my computer, it effectively works again with version
0.2.35-2 of esound (0.2.36 for libesd-alsa0). However I'm not sure ALSA
is really used, as /dev/dsp is still said busy when esd is running.


Any clue?
