Hello Carsten, thank you for your feedback. You are right, it was an SSL/TLS issue. I have checked the error console in icedove and saw a message relating to "weak ephemeral diffie-hellman keys". So I contacted the owner of the server and suggested what to do. Even if they claimed they have not touched anything, it suddenly began to work. So it works now but I don't know why ... :/
