There is a new upstream release from lzop. I think the current state is lzop 1.02 rc1 and the author also writes: "(As of Nov 2005 there has not been any problem report, and 1.02rc1 will likely get released as official version 1.02.)". I got these information from http://www.lzop.org/ Can you please think about packaging it?
