devel seems a little less inappropriate than misc, perhaps?
Some other packages similar to libglib2.0-0-refdbg:
* python2.7-dbg (and other versions) are the Python interpreter
and standard library, rebuilt with debugging features
* dbus-1-dbg contains debug symbols, but also rebuilt versions
of libdbus with extra tests/assertions/misc, and the regression
tests that use them
