Source: oolite Followup-For: Bug #795796 Hello.
Removing the package must remove all files installed system-wide, but almost never remove files created by the executable in the user home directories (given by $HOME or ~). If you look under your own ~ for files with names starting with a dot (usually hidden by your navigator), you will discover *lots* of files created by random executables and never ever removed. If you think that Oolite should create less files in ~, or use a different directory structure, or use names starting with a dot, please discuss this with GNUstep upstream, as the rationale has nothing specific to oolite: all GNUstep applications use the same directory structure on many platforms, including MacOSX were Defaults and Library have special meanings. I am not a big fan of this directory structure, but it does exist for good reasons.
