It looks as though the answer is yes: granule
<https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=granule> FTBFS with

/«PKGBUILDDIR»/src/Granule.cpp:419: undefined reference to
`ASSA::Reactor::registerTimerHandler(ASSA::EventHandler*, ASSA::TimeVal const&,
std::__cxx11::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >
const&)'
CSVImportDialog.o:(.rodata._ZTVN4ASSA11Logger_ImplE[_ZTVN4ASSA11Logger_ImplE]+0x60):
 undefined reference to `ASSA::Logger_Impl::indent_func_name(std::ostream&,
std::__cxx11::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >
const&, unsigned long, ASSA::marker_t)'

This is a small transition, since granule is the only thing that directly
depends or build-depends on libassa:

smcv@coccia:~$ dak rm -R -n libassa
...
Checking reverse dependencies...
# Broken Depends:
granule: granule [amd64 arm64 armel armhf i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386
mips mipsel powerpc ppc64el s390x]

# Broken Build-Depends:
granule: libassa3.5-5-dev
