I did indeed miss this, and I very much appreciate the prior warning you gave, the issuance of bug report notifications to the various maintainers, and the huge scale of the problem faced with a major transition like this. However I do feel that it was a shame that the transition went ahead regardless as to at least one very popular application - libreoffice - not being ready, resulting in the unfortunate situation we have now.
