JFYI: Only a single patch hunks from 290354ff46 applies to the 5.0.8
source code:

patching file Src/text.c
Hunk #1 FAILED at 681.
Hunk #2 succeeded at 616 (offset -79 lines).
Hunk #3 FAILED at 703.
Hunk #4 FAILED at 714.
Hunk #5 FAILED at 739.
Hunk #6 FAILED at 749.
5 out of 6 hunks FAILED -- rejects in file Src/text.c

And it doesn't look trivial to make all the other ones fitting. So
we'll have to wait for zsh 5.0.9 to fix this issue.

But there's already talk about a rather soonish 5.0.9 release upstream
anyways: http://www.zsh.org/mla/workers/2015/msg01836.html and
http://www.zsh.org/mla/workers/2015/msg01838.html

                Regards, Axel
