Package: gpsbabel
Version: 1.2.7-1
Severity: important

gpsbabel fails to work with a USB Garmin GPS, because the autoloaded
kernel module garmin_usb makes the GPS inaccessible to libusb.
gpsbabel produces the error:

    usb_set_configuration failed

and the kernel logs the messages:

usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5
    garmin_gps 1-1:1.0: Garmin GPS usb/tty converter detected
usb 1-1: Garmin GPS usb/tty converter now attached to ttyUSB0
usb 1-1: reset full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5
usb 1-1: usbfs: interface 0 claimed by garmin_gps while 'gpsbabel' sets
config #1

A workaround is to remove the garmin_usb module.
