$ TERM=tmux-256color tput colors
tput: unknown terminal "tmux-256color"
Fedora will presumably upgrade to newer upstream terminfo that includes
the tmux stuff at some point. (It went in 20150502.)
I'll add it with the next debian upload and it presumably should go in
coreutils upstream also. This is a perennial pain, but nobody really
wants to do the "right" thing (link coreutils against ncurses and check
for color capability at run time).
