Actually, this is more a question of why I enabled it in the build. And
the reason why I enabled it is for people who really need it to be able
to use it. Now, upstream binaries are not built upon pango, and I got
some strange issues with the pango build myself, so while I enabled the
build, i disabled it at runtime and proposed a way to specifically
enable it for those who really want to.
