I might've hit the same issue:
Setting up mariadb-server-10.0 (10.0.20-1) ...
150627 0:30:08 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld (mysqld 10.0.20-MariaDB-1)
starting as process 1025 ...
mv: missing destination file operand after ‘/etc/mysql/debian.cnf’
Try 'mv --help' for more information.
dpkg: error processing package mariadb-server-10.0 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
First it hangs on the first line for minutes (I think), then it hangs on
the second line for minutes..
