Subject: ActiveX browser object fails to install Package: wine Version: 0.9-1 Severity: normal
I downloaded and installed the MusicBrainz Tagger [1] for Windows. This went smoothly. When I ran the program afterwards, Wine displayed the message "This application is requesting an ActiveX browser object but the Mozilla Active X control is currently not installed. Do you wish to download and install it?" I selected "Yes". A dialog box popped up very briefly display "Download the Mozilla..." and then closed nearly instantly. The following message is from the Wine log: You need to install the Mozilla ActiveX control to use Wine's builtin CLSID_WebBrowser from SHDOCVW.DLL fixme:shdocvw:OleObject_GetExtent (0x5592d908)->(1, 0x55c3f7fc) Cheers, Shaun [1] http://musicbrainz.org/tagger/download.html http://musicbrainz.org/ftpmirror/pub/musicbrainz/mbtagger-setup-0.10.5.exe -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (498, 'testing'), (497, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-9-amd64-k8 Locale: LANG=en_CA, LC_CTYPE=en_CA (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages wine depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii libwine 0.9-1 Windows API Implementation (Librar ii xbase-clients [xco 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 miscellaneous X clients -- debconf information: wine/del_wine_conf: true wine/install_type: Autodetect
