Dear Raphael,

Thank you for your kind reply.

Thanks, I confirmed the commit on master branch.
I'd close this bug report after I confirm that the commit is included on Debian
archive.
(Feel free to close it before I do. I'm not familiar with Debian BTS...)

Thanks for your explanation, I understand the POT/PO file updating policy and
schedule.

For now, inconsistencies between en-US/* and pot/* are not the only problem
for current master branch but also wheezy/master branch.
I checked it through the following command.

$ git log -p --color --stat --pretty=fuller remotes/origin/wheezy/master
en-US/* pot/*

For instance, according to the output of the command,
commit '4bfc0d66576f73a8cea436a79a840fb3b7c2801e' fixed the typo of
linux-images-*
for en-US/08_basic-configuration.xml.
But after this commit, the corresponding file pot/08_basic-configuration.pot
was not updated.
And this is not the only one inconsistency; there are several inconsistencies.

I know current translations are performed for wheezy/master branch, because I'm
translating.
But if there are inconsistencies between en-US/* and pot/*,
translators will translate old msgid on PO file generated from pot/*
(which is already expired/changed on en-US/*). I think this is poor thing for
translators.
That is why I asked that how to generate POT files.
I wish I could generate POT files by myself. Then I can put them on
wheezy/master by myself.

This topic is not directly related to the Bug#788940,
so I think I should stop further asking about this topic on here except for the
last question.
Is the debian-handbook-translat...@lists.alioth.debian.org good public place to
ask this kind of topic?

Sincerely yours,
Ryuunosuke Ayanokouzi
